Every day, $9 Million of investors' money is lost in crypto scams.
So, let’s look into the working of the biggest crypto scam in history, and what we can learn from it.
From 2015 to 2017, Bitcoin rose by almost 3000%.
This made many people Millionaires but many more missed out on this opportunity.
Seeing the overwhelming FOMO against people, DR. Ruja Ignatova sensed a window of opportunity.
She created her own cryptocurrency called ‘OneCoin’.
She announced that ‘OneCOin’ had its own blockchain, which is better and safer than bitcoins.

But in reality, it was a fake coin with no underlying technology.
But no one knew that.
So when she charismatically declared in multiple conferences that OneCoin will surpass Bitcoin
in 2 years, people believed her and hopped on the hype train.
Moreover, if an existing investor invited a new investor, he/she would get a commission in OneCoin.
At its peak, there was $15B worth of OneCoin in circulation.
Ignatova promised an exchange where people could sell OneCoin for money.
But the exchange was never released.
Ignatova vanished with all the money and is yet to be found.

As crypto is an unregulated market it’s advised to proceed with a lot of caution when investing in any new coin.
Do your own research before stepping in.
